Administration Manager

As a member of the Operations team, and as a new Glass Canada family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: – Responsible for administrative operations for the Commercial Glazing department, with a strong focus on reviewing and processing purchase orders and contracts, along with issuing all start-up safety documents and warranties. – Identify and implement efficiency improvements in existing processes to streamline current financial reporting and contract management.- Establishes and manages various internal schedules and business deadlines. – Responsible for regularly monitoring costs and expenses to ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations. -Works closely with the management team to keep abreast of all operational changes and business developments. – Provide support for A/P and Banking deposits. – Purchasing of Office and Shop Supplies and inventory management. – Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while making recommendations where necessary for improvement or revision.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: – Proven experience as an Administrative or Operations Manager, with a preference towards experience in the construction industry. – Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and specifically an intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. – Working knowledge of financial and facilities management principles. – Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities. – Experience working as part of a cross-functional team and independently with exceptional personal time management skills. – Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and deadlines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. – Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.



Senior Project Manager

As a member of the Commercial team and as a new Glass Canada family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: – The Senior Project Manager will maintain a leadership position and oversee all facets of the project life from contract award to final close-out of project. Providing deliverables to specifications within timeframe and allotted budget. – Uphold a healthy relationship with clients and stakeholders by providing excellent communication to all requests, concerns, questions and always displaying exceptional customer service.- Responsible for understanding all project specifications and construction documents, performing complete and accurate window and door take-offs. – Manage the project schedule in logical and efficient steps while regularly evaluating and monitoring the time required to meet all project deadlines.- Responsible for the purchasing of all materials in accordance to contract specifications and scheduling material procurement to project requirements.- Lead the full-scale project organization, scheduling, and implementation details.- Organize and hold regular information meetings with the project foreman, provide effective leadership, and ensure the efficient use of labour, equipment and materials used by the installers. – Monitor team members’ performance, providing feedback for improvement with positive reinforcement and taking necessary corrective action when required.- Provide direction in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment concerns.- Investigate and resolve any disputes, deficiencies, and charge backs that may occur.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Project Manager in the Commercial Glazing Industry. – Post-Secondary education or equivalent. – Proficient knowledge in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural glass and aluminum systems, curtain walls, window systems, skylight systems, and entrances.- High-level construction knowledge with experience in estimating, project coordination and management. – Demonstrated experience managing mid-size to large scale commercial construction projects.- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, most importantly; Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF. Proficiency in AutoCAD is also required.-Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.-Exceptional oral and written communication skills with customers, vendors, suppliers, and business partners.-Highly detail oriented with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot all customer concerns. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings with incredible attention to detail.-Working knowledge and demonstrated use of building envelope science and construction management.



Service Technician

We are looking for individuals who have previous experience in the glass and glazing industry and who can follow detailed instructions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of construction principles, have a positive attitude, and be safety conscious.

Job Details: Install showers, railings, thermal units, and glass materials with extreme care and precision. Repair doors, showers, railings, and other glass products daily. Review and complete service work orders. Load glass products and parts safely onto service vehicle. Lift glass and mirror products. Travel to multiple job sites daily using company vehicle provided. Install custom glass products of different brands and its components. Use hand tools to perform various duties. Install custom mirrors, and mirror walls. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and report any defects to the operator. Remain in contact with the Office Manager daily. Rotate the afterhours emergency line between other service members. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years glass/glazing or equivalent experience. Experience with hand held tools is a must. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Comfortable driving a Transit 250 (G license required). Customer service oriented and comfortable greeting and speaking with customers. Reliable form of transportation – we are not bus accessible. Working at Heights certificate an asset.

Working Conditions: Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures. Requires travel to and from job sites in company vehicle. Working at heights occasionally. Heavy lifting involved.
